Nestled at the mouth of the Camel Estuary in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the beach and surrounding landscape will take your breath away. Simple pleasures, long walks in the sea breeze, lazy days on the sandy beach where the kids love to go rock pooling and a quiet pint in the local pubs and a bite to eat in the local cafés and restaurants are the order of the day.
Situated only about 100 meters level walk from the stunning beach in Polzeath this brand new beach style cottage is the perfect place to spend your holidays on the North Cornish coast. 1 The Navigators sleeps 6 persons and comprises of one double bedroom with king size bed & en-suite, two twin bedrooms, family bathroom, open plan sitting/dining room with kitchen with some sea views to the island. Outside there is a sunny seating and dining area and private parking.
1 The Navigators can be booked together with 2 the Navigators next door to sleep 12 persons. Linen and towels are provided. A great holiday base with stunning coastal and countryside walks. Local activities include Sailing, Surfing, Waterskiing, Golf. Spend romantic evenings in one of the local restaurants watching the sun set over the ocean. Nearest shops and restaurants only 100 meters level walk
The West Country / Cornwall region:
Polzeath is ideally situated to explore the West Country. The Eden Project is only about 50 minutes away. The famous Royal Cornwall Show in June is a fantastic event that takes place in Wadebridge only 15 minutes away.5 minutes on the ferry across the Estuary takes you to Padstow where you can find Rick Steins Restaurants and many other places to eat and shop. Port Isaac is only 8 miles away and is the traditional fishing village made famous by the TV program "Doc Martin". Or why not visit Tintagel where the legend of King Arthur lives on. Cornwall is known for its milder climate and stunning coastal scenery.
The Polzeath area:
Polzeath has one of the best surfing beaches with its golden sand and surf schools and lots of rock pools for the kids to play in. With lovely restaurants and cafes situated around the beach where you can watch the sun set into the ocean in the evenings over a glass of wine. There are many activities to enjoy including the renowned St. Enodoc golf course, sailing and water skiing on the Camel Estuary, windsurfing at Daymer Bay. Dining at the 2 Michelin Star "Restaurant Nathan Outlaw". Relaxing and being pampered in one of the local Spas or take a bike ride along the stunning Camel Trail. The Camel Estuary provides some of the best bird watching opportunities in Cornwall. The local Rock Oyster Festival takes place in June and has an array of culinary delights with local produce and restaurateurs and with entertainment for all the family. Polzeath is a small seaside resort in north Cornwall, England. It is not far from Daymer Bay, Rock, and the Camel Valley and is one of over 250 towns and villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. Nearby cities include Truro, Plymouth and Exeter.
Polzeath has a very large sandy beach (over 460m in width) and is very popular with surfers.
The beach is watched over by lifeguards during the summer months and boasts good surfing conditions.
Among other highlights are the wildlife which can be seen around here including dolphins and a variety of birds such as puffins. There are also several shops, cafes, restaurants and various places to stay including a caravan site.
